Nearly all students experience some difficulty and/or challenges at times during their high school career. Difficulties may be transient or class specific, or more general and related to different types of learning. The Heschel High School "Learning Laboratory" is intended to be an educational support to students when they are experiencing difficulty.
Learning Laboratory support is provided by a cadre of specialists in collaboration with classroom teachers. The program is directed by Dr. Bonnie Altman and includes Dr. Audrey Sieger and Jenny Brenner, Learning Specialists; Rachel Landsberg, Hebrew and Judaic Studies specialist. Students may be formally assigned and programmed for the Learning Lab, or access it as a self-selected drop-in.
