We regret to announce the passing of Avram Gokhvat beloved Grandfather to Maksim Stavinsky( MS Class 95) and Yelana Stavinsky (MS Class 99), father of Faina Stavinsky, Yakov & Gennady Gokhvat, husband of Sofiya Gokhvat. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Friday, May 14, 11:30 am at Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Avenue corner of 91st, 1-212-769-4400 Shiva will be held at: the home of Yakov and Faina Stavinsky 4555 Henry Hudson Pkwy, #204 Riverdale, NY 10471 Shiva Hours are: Sunday - Tuesday beginning at 11:00 AM Maariv on Sunday & Monday 8:45 PM Tuesday (Erev Shavuot) until 4:00 PM May the family be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem

 

 

Devora Wilkenfeld, mother of Yoni (HS class of 2009), Dani Nizri and Liam Nizri.  As the burial will take place in Israel, a service will be held at the airport on Monday, April 26th.  We will forward time and location of the service as soon as we receive them. Elsie Snyder, mother of Lynn Beer, mother-in-law of Maurice Beer and grandmother of Josh, Matthew (MS Class of 96) and Alex (MS Class of  03).  The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26 at 12:30, Plaza Memorial Chapel, Amsterdam Avenue and 91st Street
Internment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Jersey. The family will sit Shiva at Elsie’s home, 41C Winthrop Road Monroe Township, New Jersey on Monday after the burial until 8PM.   Shiva will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 9 pm at the home of Lynn Beer, 440 West End Avenue at 81 Street. Apt 16A with evening minyan at 7:30 PM.
A donation will be made to the library in memory of Elsie Snyder.  May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Oliver and Annabel Fisher on the passing of their mother, Vivienne Reynolds Fisher.
