ACE MENTOR PROGRAM OF GREATER NY 

This is a free after-school mentorship program that introduces high school students to careers in architecture, engineering, and construction.  Participants will join a team led by mentors who are actual architects, engineers, and construction managers and learn about the design and construction industry.

BRANDEIS PRECOLLEGE - WINTER-SPRING 2022

The College will be offering several programs during winter/spring 2022.  The Academic Immersion program is free virtual programming offered synchronously and asynchronously to engage students in a variety of academic topics.  Learn about global health and medicine, computer science, social justice and anti-racism, or Jewish learning and life at no cost to you.  The virtual asynchronous Precollege Online program is available for students age 13 and up and grants them the opportunity to learn from Brandeis faculty and experts.  Topics include civil litigation, biology of women's health and global health, and climate justice.  Juniors and seniors can also enroll in For-Credit Undergraduate Courses.

Brandeis PreCollege will also be offering the another free online academic immersion program called Jewish Learning and Community.  It will run weekly on Sunday evenings from late January through mid April, with about 3 hours of work per week and will feature college level learning and guest presenters from Brandeis and the wider Jewish community.  Participants work towards a capstone project and a daylong symposium in June.

COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL ONLINE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Whether you are just thinking about what you'll take in school, already majoring in business, or starting on your professional path, this program helps you discover the business area that's right for you.  All programs are 100% online, allowing you to study at your own pace.  You'll be guided by mentors and collaborate with motivated peers from around the globe. At the conclusion of the program (options are The Business of Luxury, The Business of Sports, The Business of TV and Film: An Insider's Look, and The Business of Hospitality: Travel and Dining) you will complete a final project and receive a certificate of participation from Columbia Business School.  Multi-length programs are available throughout the year for anyone interested in learning about business.

FORDHAM STEM BOOTCAMP: FUTURE LEADERS OF AI

This online opportunity for high school students will run from February 21-24th, 2023 from 10am-1:30pm.  Artificial intelligence is reshaping everything from media, to the arts to sports to business, medicine, and more.  Attend class online as an avatar in a customized metaverse and learn how to become more creative and productive in school or work, and earn a Fordham certificate in the process. INSPIRIT AI

This interdisciplinary artificial intelligence program is developed and taught by graduate students from Stanford and MIT.  They offer students a beginner friendly introduction to artificial intelligence though their project based curriculum and through the close guidance of mentors.  Participants develop AI projects for social good in domains of their choice.  Applications for their Winter 2021 Program are open, with a November 15th deadline.

JEWISH WOMEN'S ARCHIVE RISING VOICES FELLOWSHIP

This is a leadership development program for Jewish women in grades 10-12 with a passion for writing and an interest in Judaism, feminism, and social justice who want to participate in a community that centers the experiences of Jewish women.  This 10 month program offers a unique curriculum exploring Jewish women's history and identity, giving Fellows the tools to use their voices for social change.

PRATT PRECOLLEGE

Pratt PreCollege is welcoming motivated high school students looking to take advantage of their winter break and gain new college level skills.  Students 15-18 are invited to register for a 4 day Online Winterim class to jumpstart the new year and creative journey.  Registration is open until December 4, 2023.  Introduction to Graphic Design (1 credit) will run from January 2-5 from 12-4:30pm.  Students will explore the impact of design and what makes a design successful in an ever changing society.  The Portfolio Development (noncredit) class will run from January 2-5 from 3-5pm.  This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of portfolio development.

UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS, AMHERST - WINTER SPORT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

This Online Pre-College Program for HS students will run from January 3-7, 2022.  Taught by the #1 globally ranked Mark H. McCormack Department of Sports Management, UMass Amherst's winter term sport academy is a one-week seminar focused on the modern front office.  Students will learn about both the modern sport franchise as well as the ecosystem surrounding it, with a specific focus on Fenway Sport Management (FSM) and their properties.  The program includes live Zoom lectures from faculty in the UMass Sport Management department as well as Q&A with UMass alumni working in the sports industry.  Students will also engage in in-class discussions and complete asynchronous assignments, readings, and case studies.
