Social Justice Minyan Hosts Homeless Awareness Week Program

The High School's Social Justice Minyan welcomed James Addison and Dennis Barton, two men who were formerly homeless, to speak about their life experiences, how they were able to recover, and what they are doing now to give back to their community and family. James said, "the meaning of life is to find your gifts. The purpose of life is giving those gifts away" when describing how he and Dennis are now living a life of purpose. James and Dennis were joined by Susan Greenfield who edited their stories in the book "Sacred Shelter." James and Dennis also spent time with Grade 4 students where they also heard their stories and had the opportunity to ask them questions.
