Lower School: Grades 1-5 Admissions Checklist:
Once you have visited the school, you can begin your application. Heschel uses the services of Ravenna to facilitate our online application.

The Parent Questionnaire allows Heschel's Admissions team to better understand your child. Please submit this form before you come for your parent interview.
Student Visit and Parent Interview
After you complete your preliminary application you will be contacted by the Admissions Office to schedule a school visit for your child as well as a parent interview for you.
School reports from current schools, including the most recent report card, are required to complete the application. An official transcript should be sent directly from the applicant’s school by January 15, 2020.
Submit Test Scores
All applicants to the Lower School will require the results of testing by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB).
To register for ERB test, go to: https://www.erblearn.org/
- Applicants to Grade 5 take the ISEE.
- Applicants to Grades 2-4 take the ISEE Primary.
- Applicants to Grade 1 take the AABL.
Results will be sent directly to Heschel and are due in Admissions Office by January 15, 2020.
On the online application, “delegate” the teacher recommendation form to your child’s teacher by entering their email address and pressing the “submit” button. The form will be emailed directly to the teacher, and he/she will return it directly to Heschel. This form should be completed by January 15, 2020.
Financial Aid (if applicable)
Please visit our financial aid page for information about applying for aid. The deadline to complete your financial aid application is December 2, 2019.
Grades 1-5: Tuesday, February 4, 2020
These dates are in accordance with guidelines set by the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY).
Students must be fully immunized based on the New York State Requirements.
