B’Yachad: A Heschel Community Cookbook

More than 50 people helped put together this collection of over 100 recipes representing more than a dozen regions, cultures, and countries. B’Yachad (together) debuted in 2023. This book took three years to complete, features 99 photos across 200 pages, and reflects countless hours of cooking, tasting, discussing, writing, editing, and formatting.

The idea for the Heschel Community Cookbook project began during the pandemic which was a time of both isolation and uncertainty, and also a lot of cooking at home!

Luckily, we are on the other side of that now — back to being together in a more full and social way. This book captures the joy that food continues to offer us through a collection of recipes that reflect our eclectic, dynamic, and food-loving community.

While the book is divided into chapters according to Jewish holidays, we encourage you to make the recipes your own throughout the year. We also hope you are inspired to invite someone new into your home for a meal or to spend more time with your families in the kitchen. There’s nothing better than being together with people you care about, sharing good food

A portion from each sale of B’Yachad; A Heschel Community Cookbook, will be donated to Asif: Culinary Institute of Israel. Asif is distributing meals in Israel to displaced families, soldiers, and others who are in need.

Our first edition sold out but the second printing is now available! Order now and look for an email with sale and pick up dates.
