On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA) of the Heschel School, we are delighted to welcome you back to school!
The PA is comprised of all parents in the school, including Early Childhood, Lower School, Middle School, and High School. We foster communication between the parent body and the administration, faculty, and staff. Throughout the year, we engage families by creating and producing community-building and educational programs.
We are excited about the many events and programs planned for this year. Please refer to the PA Event Dates listing and school calendar located on the Heschel website and mark your calendars for important upcoming programs, such as grade-wide informational gatherings with division heads, back-to-school nights, Parents’ Institutes, and community-wide celebrations.
Our first Open PA Meeting will be on Monday, November 12, at 8:30am. All parents are invited. We hope to see many of you there.
The PA will be hosting a drop-in coffee on September 6th during the Early Childhood stagger schedule from 8:15am to 12:00pm. Coffee and light refreshments will be available in the 3rd floor conference room (30 West End Avenue, Room 305). Members of the PA Steering Committee will be there to welcome you. Please stop by to introduce yourself.
Parents with children in Grades 9-12 are invited to the High School Parents’ Sukkah Party on Wednesday, September 26.
All parents are invited to the Lower School Dining Hall, (30 West End Avenue, 2nd Floor) for coffee and conversation before and after drop off, every morning. It is a fun and easy way to meet new and returning families.
Getting involved with the PA is a wonderful way to meet fellow parents and contribute to the school. A list of PA committees may be found on the PA Volunteer Form on the Heschel website. Throughout the year, we will post opportunities to volunteer at specific events and programs. Please visit heschel.org/pavolunteer to sign up.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or suggestions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Best wishes to everyone for a wonderful start of the school year!
